Linear Piezoelectric Pins Array

The tactile interface is realized through the use of an array of pins that are individually capable of raising and lowering themselves.

The use of either a flexible film force sensor on the crown of each pin or detecting resistive discrepancies in a pin's piezoelectric element will enable the device to form a feedback loop.

This loop will be responsible for behaviours such as button clicks.

Increasing pin height
L-R:
- Pin at rest.
- Bottom lock engages
- Central "abdomen" contracts
- Top lock engages
- Bottom lock disengages, Central "abdomen" relaxes

- no contact
- contact
- pushing contact
- yielding contact
